Homes for Sale near Powers

The eastern side of Colorado Springs is growing rapidly. Homes for sale in the Powers Corridor are generally newer. In addition to newer homes, there are also many big shopping centers with ample amenities on this side of town. Residents of the Powers Corridor can find everything they need nearby. It's also easy to get to the airport and to the mountains across town if you are looking for outdoor adventure.

There are many newer neighborhoods full of single-family homes near Powers Blvd. In addition, there are townhomes and condos available. Most homes come on smaller properties, but there are options for larger lots. There are few mature trees in this area, but as time goes on that will change.

Popular Neighborhoods in the Powers Corridor

Powers Blvd. runs north to south on the east side of Colorado Springs. As such, there are many great neighborhoods throughout the area. A few to consider are Cimarron Hills, Springs Ranch, and Stetson Hills.

Cimarron Hills is located on the southern end of the corridor. It's in a great location, near the Colorado Springs Airport, Peterson Space Force Base, and Schriever Space Force Base. Springs Ranch is a newer master-planned development. It situated near Powers and Constitution. It's close to the First and Main shopping complex and features the Springs Ranch Golf Club.

One of the largest neighborhoods in the city, Stetson Hills has more parks than any other area of the city. It's a great area for families. In addition to parks, it's easy to get to shopping and dining opportunities.

Powers Corridor Home Prices and Statistics

The Powers Corridor has seen its population more than double since 2000. There are 22,993 total households in this part of town and the population density is 2,449 people per square mile.  Many households have children and the average year built for homes is 1996.

Smaller homes, condos, and townhomes start in the $200s. Most single-family homes for sale in the Powers Corridor are priced in the $300s and up. You can find homes that are under construction in this area if you would like to decide the finishing touches yourself. Luxury homes generally have prices in the $800s and up.

About Powers Corridor

The Powers Corridor is all about convenience. This area is still growing, as it's one of the newer parts of town. The Powers Corridor is on the east side of the city. It is defined by the borders of Woodmen to the North and Platte to the South. It also runs from Powers to the West and Marksheffel to the East. Within the area, countless shops and restaurants give the area a lively feel. This transfers well into the beautiful homes and their own spark of excitement.


Since the area is central to many shops and restaurants, the Powers Corridor provides an energetic feel. Families have access to every kind of store and restaurant they could need. Within the area, larger stores like Kohls, Costco, and Target provide the necessities. In addition, unique restaurants such as The Wobbly Olive and Birdcall introduce a special experience to the Powers area. First and Main Town Center offers a huge number of stores and restaurants. It's also home to a movie theater and YMCA.

Along the Powers Corridor there are also many service industries and opportunities for recreation. Security Service Field is home to the Rocky Mountain Vibes. At 6,531 feet, this is the highest professional baseball park in the U.S. This team is the Rookie-Advanced affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. Memorial Hospital and St. Francis Medical Center are also located in this part of town. Plus, eye doctors, dentists, primary care doctors, and more have their offices in this area.

The Powers Corridor is located on the plains of Colorado Springs. There are many parks and open spaces for residents to enjoy. In addition, it's an easy drive to get downtown or to the mountains. Above all, conveniences plus easy access to the rest of the city makes this area desirable.


Most homes in the Powers Corridor are served by Falcon District 49. Although, some children who live on the southern end may go to Colorado Springs School District 11. The Powers Corridor is home to many elementary schools and Horizon Middle School. Vista Ridge High School and Sand Creek High School serve District 49 students. Additionally, James Irwin Charter High School is part of District 11 and the Colorado Preparatory Academy offers an online program.
