Guide to 2022 Summer Camps in Colorado Springs
Because Spring has just arrived, it may seem too early to think about summer camps. However, with record growth in the area, summer camps fill up fast. It’s time to register now. Whether you are looking for full-time care for your child(ren) or just a few enrichment camps, the area has many choices. This is by no means a comprehensive list, but a great place to start when looking for the right program for your needs and your child(ren)’s interests.
YMCA Summer Day Camp
Many families trust the YMCA for activities and childcare throughout the year. It’s a great choice for working families because you can drop off children as early as 6:30 a.m. and pick them up as late as 6 p.m. If you are looking for a shorter period, the main camp activities occur between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
These camps are for children ages 5-12. There is a registration fee of $50 per child. The cost for a whole week of camp is $230 for members and $260 for nonmembers. You can also choose a three-day option at the Tri-Lakes and Westside Community Center locations for a reduced price.
The camps offer fun activities based on a weekly theme. Children make friends through group games, sports and fitness, arts and crafts, music, and hands-on science activities. Here is a list of the locations and dates for the full week options:

Fountain Creek Nature Camps
Children are invited to enjoy daily outdoor activities, games, songs, crafts, hiking, building forts, and generally have a great time in the woods. There are four week-long camps available at the Fountain Creek Nature Center in Fountain. The cost is $150 per week per child, and there are three camps available for children ages 5-11 and one for children ages 10-14. Colorado Springs Conservatory

Little Pikes Swim Camp
Pikes Peak Athletics offers swim camps at several locations in town. Choose from an AM Camp from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or a PM Camp from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can also enroll for an AM and PM camp the same week and get a discount. Early bird pricing for a one-week camp is $297. Register within the month of camp, and the price is $317.

Kemper Dance Academy
Located near Academy Blvd. and Austin Bluffs, Kemper Dance Academy will offer several camps in 2022. The price is $135 per camp with multi-camp discounts available. Each day will consist of dance instruction, games, craft projects, and a healthy snack. Friends and family can attend a short performance on the last day of camp. Different styles of dance will be featured during different weeks. Here is a look at the offerings:

Young Bot Builders
For kids interested in science, consider Young Bot Builders. Children have a great time learning how to build, solve problems, and use teamwork. In addition, kids learn about engineering, programming, gears, pulleys, levers, and motors. Camps are held at the Rocky Mountain Classical Academy Homeschool Campus in the Springs Ranch neighborhood and use LegoⓇ products. The cost is $150 per camp. There are several different camps available for different ages. Here is a look at the offerings:
WeDo 1.0 Robotics for ages 6.5 to 9 - June 6th through June 9th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Boost II for ages 10-14 - June 6th through June 9th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
WeDo 2.0 Robotics I for ages 7 to 10 - June 13th through 16th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Engineering for ages 8 to 13 - June 13th through June 16th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m
Boost I for ages 7 to 9 - June 27th through June 30th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
WeDo 2.0 Robotics II for ages 9 to 13 - July 11th through 14th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Go West Camps
At Go West Camps, children are divided into age groups and stay with the same group for three weeks. This allows firm bonds to form. There are options for kids as young as kindergarten to 9th grade. Children get to follow a track based on their interests. Available topics include art, gardening, paddle boarding, rock climbing, cooking, mountain biking, and more. In addition, older campers participate in two overnight retreats.
Camps are based at either Chinook Trail Middle School in Northeast Colorado Springs or Eagleview Middle School in West Colorado Springs. Prices for a 3-week session range from $1355 to $1555. The camp day is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., but kids can be dropped off as early as 8 a.m. and picked up as late as 5 p.m. Here are the sessions for this year:
