As Christmas approaches, Colorado Springs becomes adorned with lights. The days may be shorter and darker, but holiday cheer makes up for it. Light Shows and Parades

You can hop in your car and drive around neighborhoods in Colorado Springs to see some amazing lights. Don’t miss the Broadmoor neighborhood and the Broadmoor Hotel. Make some hot chocolate and listen to Christmas songs as you drive around town. In addition to home displays, there are several other light shows and the 39th Annual Festival of Lights Parade.

CSPM Annual Holiday Light Show

Spend an evening Downtown in December and swing by the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum for the annual light show on the grounds of Alamo Square Park. There will be a special event inside the Pioneers Museum on the night of the Festival of Lights Parade.

Magic of Lights at PPIR

This new family-friendly drive-through holiday lights festival will take place at Pikes Peak International Raceway in Fountain. Come to view more than a million LED lights from the safety and comfort of your car. Nightly shows are available now through Sunday, January 1, 2023. Tickets start at just $15 per vehicle. 

39th Annual Festival of Lights Parade

Experience one of the most beloved traditions in the Pikes Peak region by attending the 39th Annual Festival of Lights Parade. The parade will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2022. Join a crowd of more than 40,000 people along Tejon Street in Downtown Colorado Springs. The parade is always the first Saturday in December and includes marching bands, floats, and much more. ‘It’s a Wonderful Life:’ A Live Radio Play

Come to the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College to see ‘It’s a Wonderful Life:’ A Live Radio Play. This American holiday classic comes to life as a 1940s radio broadcast. The show is available from December 1 through December 23, 2022. Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased here. 

A Christmas Carol 

Join the Funky Little Theater Company for a unique take on Charles Dickens ‘A Christmas Carol’. Six actors play all of the characters. Shows will be available in Palmer Lake December 9 and 10, in Woodland Park December 15 through 17, and at Ivywild School Auditorium December 21 through 23. Winter Wonders

Summit by Candlelight Concert

Join a treasured tradition and come hear the Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale perform songs of the holidays at First Congregational Church in Colorado Springs. Tri-Lakes Music Association Annual Christmas Cantata

Spend an evening enjoying music for a great cause. The 20th annual Tri-Lakes Music Association Christmas Cantata will take place on December 16 and 17 at 7 PM and 2 PM on Sunday, December 18. The concert is presented by Tri-Lakes Music Association and will take place at Palmer Ridge High School Auditorium in Monument. There is no cost to attend, however, a free-will offering will be collected to benefit Tri-Lakes Cares and scholarships for two local high school seniors.

Christmas Symphony (Colorado Springs Philharmonic)

Come to the Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts to enjoy music with the Philharmonic and the Colorado Springs Chorale. Experience cheerful sing-alongs, Rutter’s Gloria, Sleigh Ride, and more. Tickets start at $28 for this December 18, 2022 performance. Purchase your tickets here.
