4th of July Events in Colorado Springs

There are many fun ways to celebrate our nation’s independence in Colorado Springs. The city is full of life and residents appreciate the ample opportunities to attend events and get to know neighbors. No matter which area of town you live in, something is going on. Here is a look at the 4th of July events in Colorado Springs in 2022.

Star Spangled Symphony July 4th Block Party

Come enjoy a free concert and block party at the Pikes Peak Center in downtown Colorado Springs. This event will take place on July 4th, 2022 from 3:30 PM to 7 PM. Presented by the Colorado Springs Philharmonic and Colorado Springs Sports Corporation, this event is free. 

The concert will take place indoors and you must register in advance for tickets. If you would rather enjoy the music from your home, you can also register for a live-stream link. The concert is 75 minutes long and begins at 4:30 PM. The doors open at 3:30 PM and seating is on a first-come-first-served basis. The concert will be led by Associate Conductor Thomas Wilson. It will feature patriotic favorites, including America the Beautiful, The Olympic Spirit, the 1812 Overture, and more.

In addition to this indoor concert, there will be a block party on the street outside of the Pikes Peak Center. There will be food vendors, a beer garden, and a broadcast of the concert on the north lawn. It is sure to be great fun for the entire family. Pikes Peak Center is located at 190 S. Cascade Ave. in Colorado Springs.

4th of July Symphony on Your Porch

Later on, everyone in the community is invited to enjoy fireworks from their porch. However, many residents travel to nearby parks or areas with better visibility to catch a show. Experience the fireworks with musical offerings from the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. Just tune in to one of these radio stations while you watch the display:

Several shows around town will take place at local events. These are open to the public, but the sporting events do require tickets.

Falcon Freedom Days at Meridian Ranch

Falcon Freedom Days at Meridian Ranch takes place on Saturday, July 2nd, 2022. It begins with a 5K race at 8 AM. After the race, vendors, bounce houses, a beer garden, and a DJ will be on-site at The Shops at Meridian Ranch from 1 PM to 4 PM. Once it gets dark, the fireworks show will start at 9:20 PM. Fireworks will launch from north of Falcon High School. Watch from your porch if you live close by, or bring chairs or blankets to the location of your choice to watch the show. 

Banning Lewis Ranch

Banning Lewis Ranch offers a Summer Concert Series this year, and one of the dates falls on July 4th. Come for a concert from 6 PM to 8 PM at Vista Park, located at 8833 Vista Del Pico Blvd. Enjoy the music of Soul School, which will perform music for all tastes, including beach tunes, oldies, Motown, country, jazz, rock, funk, rhythm and blues, and more. After the concert, there will be a fireworks show for all to enjoy. Bring a picnic, a blanket, or some chairs and enjoy time with friends or family.

Colorado Springs Switchbacks

On Monday, July 4, the Switchbacks take on San Diego Loyal SC. The game begins at 7 PM. Tickets start as low as $20 and go up to over $200. When the game concludes, fans are invited to stick around for a fireworks show. The sky will light up over this new stadium in downtown Colorado Springs.

Rocky Mountain Vibes

The Rocky Mountain Vibes play the Billings Mustangs on July 4th. The game begins at 6:30 PM at UCHealth Park. Tickets range in price from $5 to sit in the grass berm to $50 to sit in the front four. At the end of the game, fans are invited to stick around for fireworks. It’s sure to be an impressive show and a wonderful way to celebrate the Fourth of July in Colorado Springs.

Rock Ledge Ranch Family Fourth

Rock Ledge Ranch Family Fourth at Garden of the Gods offers a fun tradition for Independence Day. You can play carnival games in the barn, listen to patriotic must at the Homestead Cabin, and grab food in the Carriage House. In addition, you can visit the historic sites and buy an old-fashioned soda, a bag of popcorn, and a souvenir in the General Store. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and tickets are required.
